Quote Derek Smalls="Derek Smalls"Yup. Though I think many saw it as a matter of principle rather than cost, and the latest in a series of poor mistakes by our club. But then, as a Wakefield fan you wouldn't know anything about club-mismanagement...
As I said, good luck in the playoffs.'"
Wether or not it was a bad decision boils down to how much you needed the money from Sale (300k a year I've heard???) or where else you could have raised that money?
There have been rumours all season about Salford and possible financial problems, perhaps this deal (and it's obviously got its costs, as seen last night) we're the difference between keeping you going as a viable SL club or ending up like Bradford?
IMO one reason you could be struggling could be your home attendances (not enough income, hence the deal with Sale) and that was also the criticism in this thread relating to the game last night at LSV.
We turned up in numbers as we have done all season, you didn't.
It's a double edged sword (your situation) but one thing that won't help is further reducing the clubs income, although we know more than most that's what is easiest and best at the time.
Time for change maybe at Salford, maybe then you can do a Wakefield???
