Henry Paul only made 24 appearances for Trinity

Nigel Wright made a few more but still not that many



Both absolutely class players, the difference was Wright was our product and was sold to Wigan while Paul was a young but ready overseas player and chose to leave.



Subtle differences that mean a lot to the fans which is why I think Wright is remembered more fondly.

Hibernation over! I will go along with this - we must be of the same era Brian's Ghost! All great players- but it's a pity there's a limit of 5! Players like Ashurst and Price missed out.....!

If I were naming a Trinity favourites list from all my time watching and. Wanted a mixture of all the recognised skills in a team.



Bill Ashurst - Big (6'3" 16st 7lb) and imposing with sublime hands and a great kicking game



Andy Kelly - Big (6'4" 17st 7lb), Athletic, fast and powerfull, hit gaps at full pace and was unstoppable in his first stint as a Trinity player



Wally Lewis - Arguably THE best player ever to play the game. Unmatched passing game, great kicking game, just instinctively knew how to unlock defences



Keith Smith - Silky smooth player who had size and pace and time on the ball. Ghosted past defenders and had great hands for his wing man



Steve Ella - fast, elusive, deceptively strong, brave and had an unerring ability to slice between the best defenders.
