| Is it just me ? The biggest ‘eyesore’ at Belle Vue is surely the western terrace. I wonder why there are no plans for development there.

| Quote Dunkirk Spirit="Dunkirk Spirit"Thanks FC, but I don’t think that could be possible. The Current Hospitality flats are sadly, really not fit for purpose. I’m sure John Minards, indicated the new Hospitality area would be included in the rebuilt East Stand. I hope so anyway.'"
If memory serves, JM said that there would a hospitality suite in the East stand, not boxes.
When this opens, maybe knock the flats down and replace it with boxes in that new build??

One, it's the least possible bit to develop. Two, it's the least important. area of the stadium Three, it will be when money permits.
It's nothing to do with looks, we need a modern main stand with full facilities, The only place for that is the East stand, where there is room for the stand and some parking.
Also, you don't think the East stand is an eyesore, especially the bit facing the passing public on Doncaster Road?
So yes, it's just you

I'll kick off with this I found on the net, it's the architect's own site and gives a few more pics and bits of info, not much but a bit. Enjoy

Have to say as well FC, they did a great job with the new Brentford FC stadium - if BV looks anything like that, then it will be a great place to visit!

I’m pretty sure some of the terracing on the west side is not all that old. Certainly the southerly bit.
The North stand terracing hasn’t been touched in at least 30 year apart from some hole filling. Though I believe the foundations have had work done to them.

Maybe the East stand development will be constructed further back from the pitch allowing more room in the future to develop the Western Terrace.

Sorry to sound like the self-appointed expert but to do that you'd have to move a floodlight pylon and you'd hit the Rollin shack after about 8 feet, just not worth it when the money could be spent elsewhere.
All the west terrace requires IMHO is better re-profiled terracing and a new outer wall and later a basic roof. I suspect the west terrace will always be for away fans from now on, so basic and functional will do.

That would be massively expensive.
Not a bad idea but I don't think we'll be able to do that.

| That would ‘do’ for the west terrace FC . I wasn’t suggesting the new stand should be there . Just wondered why nothing had been suggested for an improvement there.
