Once the RFL could not give Steve Parkin the guarentees he wanted, funnily enough there was not a long line of people queing up to buy us. He put his own cash in and seriously saved our ass. Unfortunately in the end his wallet wasnt as big as his ego!



I often wonder when they are scratching around for sponsors, if the RFL regret as much as we do not giving SP the guarentees he wanted!

I've often thought the same thing - I understand that he made offered some attractive incentives if he could get the assurances he wanted, that would have benefitted the whole game; and that's before you even consider the names in his address book.

Personally think some of the stuff being written on here about Andrew Glover is disgusting. Yes, mistakes have been made but these are hard times, the guy has put thousands and thousands of his own money into our club, more than the majority of us die hard fans will do in a lifetime. If i was a potential investor with a million quid in the bank and was reading some of the garbage posted on here and how ungreatful people become so quickly with someone who has given to our club what AG has, then i wouldnt touch us with a barge pole...
