Mellers is an odd one. He did well on the wing for Crusaders. We need a strong winger and hes on good money. Lets make him earn his corn.

Lets go through the squad shall we,

Mathers - can be good when he puts his mind to it and I think with the fans behind him would put up a fight but who would offer decent money for him..

Fox - could easily be replaced with Kaye.

Collis - one of our better players who others would take from us.

Smith - done nothing at 6 but a good goal kicker and better at 4.

Cockayne - wanted by KR so let him go and play Mellars he showed at the magic game last season he has pace plus he has size.

Sykes - steady player who we need

Poore - steady player but yet to see him burst through a tackle and beat a man.

Aiton - a work horse of a player who others would take

Amor - improving all the time and another who would be welcome at other clubs.

Ali - why if we are skint did we offer an old man another contract yes been good but

Kirmond - who wouldnt want him now would bring good money.

Washbrook - good tackler but when you have said that you have said it all.

Tautai - looks like he could be good after a pre season who knows.

Tuson - looks to be a good signing but who knows after being at a top club and coming down to our level

Raleigh - if he could regain his first season form he would go well

Annakin - only knows one thing go forward and dont think we would get much in transfer for him.

Trout - the lad is just not big enough and would be a small transfer fee.

Cowling - from what we have seen he could be a handy player to keep.

Wildie - if we let Aiton go then Wildie has shown in the few games he could step up at 9.

I would imagine if we let players go it would be the ones who would command the bigger money Amor Aiton Kirmond.

Need to have a look at the lotto numbers first before I could say any more.

I too think Mellars has something to offer.

Shown he has some pace.

He certainly has the size.

Could be like a new signing if something could be made of him.

Sadly I am not convinced as to the quality of some of our 'home grown.'

Bet no one would object too strongly if the long awaited multi millionaire backer appeared and bought us a team inclusive of imports.

Seriously its all about balance.

Young lads can only be brought in one / two at a time.

Fill your team with them and they will get 'murdered' and perhaps have confidence destroyed.

We need that experienced core and I have no issues as to where we get them from as long as they perform.

Agreed - making two new signings at a point when there was an obvious deficit is outrageous

at the time of the signings we was still in with a chance of a top eight finish, a gamble which didn't pay off had we made it I'm sure we would of not been aware of the impending problems

Having seen what amor had to say in the paper I can see them all running for the exit ,When players start talking like that in the press it says to me come and get me .Cant see away back this time and yes I have paid for my ST.
