Quote Nothus="Nothus"It's an odd one this. You see tackles similar to the one Collis made in pretty much every single game.
If Collis makes that tackle, and Gaskell gets up fine and plays the full 80, would Collis still be charged with a dangerous tackle? I doubt it.
I am glad that the rfl are looking at these so called 'cannonball' tackles, but you can't just highlight the ones that actually end up doing some damage.
Something that just occurred to me - the incident was not put on report at the time. I wonder if the Bulls have made a complaint/highlighted the incident to the match commissioner and asked the rfl to take a look at it?'"
Unlikely. The RFL review every game. Why report is pointless.
I am surprised Collis has been called up, I thought it was just a tackle around the legs. The RFL seem to be getting confused by cannonball/undue pressure on the leg and what is just a normal tackle around the legs.
I think what did Collis was Gaskell got injured and the sky cameras are there. Everything looks worse in slow motion.
Would like to hear the RFL explain how Collis should get a ban, yet In the WCC O'louhhlin PULLS a players leg while he is on ground.
