| Quote The Avenger="The Avenger"A poor few minutes from Trinity ends in Bradford crossing for a try.
Walker on from the bench has given 2 consecutive penalties away, Lee Smith made a lovely beak but then ignored his support and got a bit indulgent, should have been 36-0'"
Having watched the game again on sky recorded, it was Tim smith who gave the penalty away with the high head shot but the camera went on walker. But overall I agree that the forwards Mullally , scruton, Anderson and walker gave us the benchmark for the half to dominate the game. Same team next week for me with Johnstone coming in for Owen.

| Fantastic first half performance blew Bradford away. Our pack were great today and set a platform for the likes of smith and miller to exploit.
Stand out performances for me were molloy and in Simon (particularly his first half stint).
Same again next week please.

| Dans kev that's quite harsh. Wouldn't call it poop.
One of Bulls try's came from 3 consecutive penalties after what looked to be a dubious ball steal unseen.
For the majority of the game the defence was good I thought. There was some aggressive and dominating tackles in parts and some improvement seen in our sliding defence which covered well for the most part.
I think people are too quick to play Bulls down and say they were poor when it looked to me we made it so they were unable to play especially that first 30 minutes.
Yeah the defence wasn't perfect but by no way was it poop by a long shot today. And for the most part we did shut them down and kill the ball.
And Leigh are a better team but I don't think they are that much better than Bulls.

| I expected today's game to be much, much closer and nerve wracking (although I was still nervous at 30-6 cos we are capable of throwing that sort of lead away).
For some reason, Bradford had a terrible day at the office today; I believe they are far better than what we saw and will probably recover to give some of the others in the qualifiers league a hell of a game.
However, we have done this in the past several years; played well enough to raise expectations and then to capitulate in a big game, so it's nice to see a team capitulate against us in similar circumstances for once.
I had us down to play the Bulls in the 4v5 play off, and still think that's a likely scenario; however whatever happens I would prefer the Bulls to get promoted than Leigh!

| I have to say the Bradford fans deserve some credit. They turned up in numbers, brought the drum and shouted loud for their team.
But most of all they came to an away ground, for a big match, with big rivals, and attended a minutes silence impeccably for a player who had nothing to do with their club but respected ours in respected silence.
Credit to them for that. Not every club would have been so good.

| I'm terms of the game, our forwards played a massive part in dominating the game but Gaskill going off so early can't have helped them.

| The first 25 minutes of the first half were the best I've seen Trinity play for a few years they didn't allow the Bulls to play .the second half they did really well as well. Tim Smith, Scruton and Anderson really led the way today...with Mullally at times unstoppable no wonder he was signed by Leeds...what were Huddersfield doing?....Lee Smith needs signing for next season.
Although only just under 4000 official attendance it felt like more and it was a great atmosphere. Made my weekend..fantastic thank you Wakefield Trinity.

| Anyone who moans about that today wants their head testing, what do they want for goodness sake? The lads were up for that from the kick off, tackled their hearts out and gave their all for the red white and blue for the whole 80 minutes. I think the tackling has improved ten fold since Brian Smith came in and is getting better week by week. It's our biggest win over Bradford in years so I'm really gonna enjoy it, and hope we continue with the same level next week, a win at Leigh would be fantastic.

| I can't say Bradford troubling any of the SL sides. They were completely dominated by our forwards who were superb. They just aren't big enough or fit enough to take on SL sides

Indeed, I had a little look back at the records this morning because my recollections of playing Bradford are mostly bad ones.
I had to go back to 1979, the season after we last went to Wembley to see a similar points margin. We beat them 30 – 5 in the Y.C at Bradford, when Bill Ashurst sold Mumby the most outrageous dummy to score a memorable try.
But to exceed the margin you’d have to go back to 1962 & a 45 – 11 victory at B.V, I’m sure one or two will actually recall, ironically the Rocky Turner era.

Even better, I remember seeing Trinity beating Bradford (Northern) by 73 - 5 in the early 60's, not sure probably 1962-3 time.

Neil Fox can't have been playing that day, as I'm sure Gerry Round was the goal kicker.
