| I'm puzzled by CC's team selection at times but I feel for the bloke. He doesn't go from being a good coach to a bad coach in a matter of weeks! The players have let him (and us) down.
He can coach all he wants, but his coaching ends when the players run on the pitch. If some of them can't be bothered, then we're doomed from the start.
If it's not that, then the team needs changing. Hampshire and/or Wood to the halves for a start.
As far as the forwards go then we're struggling. No Huby, England not what he was, Arona out for season, Ashurst out for season, Pauli disappoints. The only true SL quality props we have are Fifita and Kopczak.
It really is a crocked tream from the one we had such aspirations for!

With just six games to play, this time there is no John Kear waiting in the wings, I think we have run out of time for making a coach change therefore we all have to back everyone at the club. No one is enjoying the ride at this time, but now is the time to stick together.

I reached the same conclusion after seeing his interview last night.
Nobody can deny that the guy is trying and that he wants to turn things round but, I really dont think that he can.
At this point in time, it looks like we will limp along till the end of the season and we just have to hope that we avoid 12th spot.
Wigan are no mugs but, they were massively depleted last night (way more than us) and yet they completely outplayed and out enthused us in the first 40.
Ok we "won" the second half but, lets not kid ourselves that this was anything more than Wigan having put the cue on the rack.
We look "broken" all over the park. No trust between the players that those outside or inside will do their job, which is leaving gaps all over the place, which Wigan were able to exploit.
Let's hope that the last game of the season isn't a relegation decider.

| What I cannot understand is how disorganised our defence seems to be - we spend all week training with full time coaches, yet within minutes of the game starting we conceded simple numbering up and man on man tackles - whatever version of defence we are trying to play the players seem incapable of operating it. I genuinely fear the St. Helens result they could set a new record. Apart from perhaps giving Hampshire a run at half back or keeping crowther in team can’t really see what else he could have done, don’t see either of those players making much of any difference to the outcome - crowther would have made more tackles than Pauli but then again offers nothing in attack especially in our own 25 , Hampshire v miller might have been a slight improvement. Personally think we need to get a defensive coach in on whatever basis

| Do what Wigan did. Play some of our 19s. Can they be any worse than the spineless specimens wearing the Trinity shirt?

I think you underestimate the significance of that move. Miller needs a chance to run with Hampshire. Absolutely nothing to lose trying it v Saints.

Agreed. Not sure what Brough offers these days and Miller is certainly a lot worse playing alongside Brough who seems to take all the ball

| I think I agree about half back but that's assuming the cause is Brough. I think Miller needs help rather than dropping and I don't think Brough is that guy.
Fifita made a point about saying training was good and he thought they had it sorted but then it fell apart on the field.

Brough has offered nothing since coming back from injury and Miller not much more, Hampshire on the other hand despite all the criticism by some on here and the way he's been treated by the club still shows the right attitude and the will to win and has been up there week in week out as a candidate for mom.

Agreed look who was the nearest to chasing gildart back when he went the length and Hampshire had to come from the other wing. I think Miller could be better though if he weren’t playing alongside Brough

How about trying Hampshire and Wood at HB?

I've drowned my sorrows and I'm over it now.
Let's just fight on and get a win somewhere.'"
Sorry but I can't be having this, well we played better in the 2nd half crap!! We were 34-0 down for God's sake! What is the actual point of showing more when a game is lost? Apart from points difference, unless you actually go on to win the game, it actually makes things worse. You do realise part of it is down to the opposition as well?! As you could see how 'happy' they were when we scored, it's like they are just messing about in the park with a bit of touch and pass. If i'd have been Fifita when Jowitt scored, I wouldn't have smiled, i'd have frowned and shook my head at the ridiculousness of it all......
