Can't help but agree with him on this - sorry but I just don't get it.

He was a good servant to the club and still talks very highly about the club and its supporters, not many ex players

do to be fair. I totally understand it.

i never get the phrase "servant". he was well rewarded for the service he gave, and if he wasn't that's because his market rate didn't warrant it. i liked him as a player, and he seems like a nice bloke, but as others have said the pedestal he has been put on is bizarre.



i wish him well, and perhaps one day he'll be back at belle vue (or newmarket), but he's not neil fox, or even johnny thompson in my book.

I think it's because he is a bit of a rarity in that he has a personality. He was a good player, but not a brilliant one - if he were he would not have played for us for 6 years. Right man, right place right time IMHO.
