Sorry, I should have been clearer. The "badge" we are "backing" was created by the last regime.

| 1975 sold, about 1000 - 1200 down on last year apparently (and I thought we sold 4K another crock of xxxx from the previous regime?).
Just goes to show that even with a relatively decent team garnered together the Wakefield public still won’t part with their money to support it.

I think the problem is that now early bird discounts have passed there is not a huge interest in taking up season tickets as the saving on paying on the day is no longer that great. With the way fixtures get chopped and changed I suppose people who already expect to miss the odd game or two will now find it as cheap or cheaper to just pay on the day. Hopefully they will still come and do that as opposed to not coming at all.
The ideas suggested earlier in this thread for Family Day Passes, or say 3 games for £50 or 5 games for £80 are good ideas but I suspect difficult to manage from a capacity point of view. I suppose it is doable but you would need to issue tickets as vouchers that need to be exchanged in advance otherwise you run the risk of everyone using them for the same games (eg Leeds/Cas) and then you don't know how many tickets you can sell on the gate.

I guess that's the risk the people who were holding out chose to take.

| However disappointing or frustrating that total may be, this goes some way to putting into perspective the financial climate we currently live in:

Not bad, all things considered.

If Salford really have sold less than 2k that really is poor. I suppose they're fortunate their team investment isn't so directly link to supporter numbers as Trinity's is.

| Koukash said on twitter earlier this week that they had sold around 2500 season tickets so if correct they have shifted more than we have. From where they were a little over 12 months ago I don't think thats too bad, it will take them time to grow again.
Even given the price rises and turbulent off season to have sold under 2k is disappointing, i'd have thought it would have been more than that by now. 12 months ago we were told it was double that, unless that was wrong. Going by the attendances though it can't have been far off. Hoping for the majority to pay on the day is always a risk and a poor start or some poor weather could hit attendances hard. For me the preferred option would be cash up front every time.
Out of interest what attendances have we budgeted for financially?

Absolutely, but equally we can't afford to keep "giving away" season tickets and so price rises had to come.
That is why the suggestions of partial season tickets etc should be given serious consideration but as highlighted before that does bring certain complications in terms of capacity (although it is only likely to be an issue for a very small number of games as only Leeds, Cas and maybe Wigan have generated crowds anything near to capacity recently)
So maybe a voucher system that says that for Category A games they need to be exchanged in advance so we can assess capacity. As I said before I think offering 3 games for £50 or 5 games for £80 might be a way to go. That is still more per game than the current season ticket price but still offers savings to people who wish to buy in advance.
How easy this is to do and administer I don't know but it does seem more likely to get people paying in advance than the full season ticket option now.

| I agree entirely that the prices had to rise but i think the amount of forgeries and free tickets that were given out also were a massive problem. And once some had had something for free or dirt cheap they aren't going to want to start paying full price in a rush i suppose, especially given all the bad publicity we've had since the end of the season. Partial season tickets might help but you are right in saying it could be an administritive nightmare. I just worry that attendances will now drop to unsustainable levels if we have a bad start to the season. The first home game being on a cold thursday night on sky won't help either but on the flip side whilst the ground may only be half full many will see the game. We REALLY need a performance in that one i reckon.

The main point that Dr Kochrash can't grasp is that the ground is no longer in Salford where the core support remains
It will be rebranded as Manchester sooner rather than later

| If someone said I could have the works - season ticket, club 1873, shirt - for an ongoing DD with the bank for £30.00 - and that's me sorted, then I'd have it.
That's a platinum membership that would probably just keep getting taken from my bank for ever and a day....
I'd even start paying before the end of the season so as to remove some of the risk to the club!
