| Quote TRB="TRB"If someone said I could have the works - season ticket, club 1873, shirt - for an ongoing DD with the bank for £30.00 - and that's me sorted, then I'd have it.
That's a platinum membership that would probably just keep getting taken from my bank for ever and a day....
I'd even start paying before the end of the season so as to remove some of the risk to the club!'"
I tried that one TRB. Signed up to pay by DD for a Platinum only to be told "we are having a problem with our direct debits. Give us your card number and we'll take it off that each month"
I ended up buying a Gold membership and club was £100+ down and were happy for me to do so.

| It would be interesting to know just how many tickets on match day last season were given away. Also was the gates on the day accurate. Looking at next seasons fixtures i will only be attending 4 home games and london away, and will be happy to pay my 22quid on the gate. I dont see the club looking at ways to reduce that, and dont blame them. However thats me, a family ticket could be a move in the right direction. A family of 3 or 4 should be offered some kind of reduction kids for a quid providing you buy lets say 5 match day tickets.
Any thing to get people in the ground should be looked at by the club, to say its not possible or difficult to administer isnt good enough

| The only way to guarantee good crowds is to win games (unless your Shuddersfield).
Having just read the latest History of Trinity book it's clear that it has always been the same for Wakefield right from the very start. Only a succesful team or the visit of bigger clubs draws in the local public.

| AFAIK WTW included the total number of ST holders in the attendance figures last season which is great if you are trying to impress but not so good when the tax bill comes. Not the only club either doing this by all accounts.

So, I don't know where you think you're going with this but it's a dead end.
These people have paid for their ticket in advance and have paid tax at source. They are still part of the paying attendance figure even if they didn't actually turn up - this is what the tax man is interested in so no issue.
There is an actual attendance on the day figure which is all the people who went through the turnstile cash/ticket/ST/staff/players. This is more health and safety than tax though if the figures don't roughly tally up it may suggest fraud. More of interest to the police I'd have thought.
The club are not legally obliged to post an official attendance but if they do they can chose either as far as I'm aware - this is unless the RFL have tightened up.
As noted on another thread it's mainly the fans who are dodgy rather than the clubs these days.

| You are of course quite right Vasty with the above. The attendance figures (actual) are the only ones that fans are interested in. IMO they are the true figures that should be published throughout the media.

| 2000 thats great news. I have just had a look on the London Bs site and they offer a monthly payment plan for all packages all year round and it reduces in the off season.
That could be something to look at

I think this is probably the way its going to go. £15 - £17 a month gold membership gets you into all the games. £30 for a platinum membership. Negatives; no large amount of revenue generated in the off season, positives; year round income helping forecasts and budgets. Also means when a lean period goes by between home fixtures the club still receive a base income.

| Klhav Kalash Im sure its the way to go, income all year round. The rates are indicated even down to meals in the bar then during the closed season the rates (payment ) drops. You instantly know how much its going to cost you, It could be worth looking at implementing at the end of next season.
