AG had a punt, nearly got lucky with top 8 finish last season & trying to draw something positive from this, at least BV has felt alive again,these last 2 years,

even though we were resigned to being booted out 2years ago (& would have been, but for the Welsh implosion).Makes you wonder how many lives aWildcat has?

As for AG, he may be reflecting on Bernie Ecclestone's quip " if you want to make a small fortune, amass a large one & invest it in formula 1" ( or Super League).

I stumbled across it when looking for something else today, and felt sick when I watched it. I can't believe after what I saw on there that we are where we are now.

And the RFL get the painless 12 team top flight they've been after.



They might let us reform in the Championship. With promotion back on, and hopefully still Newmarket, maybe we have to go back one step to make bigger steps forward, like Huddersfield have.

I don't see any way in this world the RFL will let them drop or even worse fold, I personally think the London expriment failed long ago but I also think that super league has failed if it ends up being just Yorkshire and Lancashire but on the other hand we still have the French so not a total loss.

I dunno mate. There are lots of little things in those clips that I think show you who was really running the show. But I'm grateful to Andrew Glover for what he's done, and for keeping his money in the club at a time when we really need it to be in there.

I'm with you on that. I think he went into it with the best of intentions. Perhaps a bit of an ego trip, playing the club chairman role and splashing his cash, but eventually reality hit home and realised he had bitten off more than he could chew.



I suppose the surprise factor behind all of this is because of his double-glazing salesman background, where everything is the best deal ever. When was the last time you saw a double glazing advert that said, "the best discount we could muster, but still decent windows"?



Some of the gambles didn't pay off. Cheap season tickets got the turnstiles clicking but not the tills. There aren't the facilities to cash in on the extra punters.



Ultimately, he had a go at something that was maybe always doomed to fail.

From what I'm hearing, another club with a new owner could soon be in a not dissimilar position to ourselves; it might not be as straightforward for the RFL as you think.
