Having watched a fair bit of West Tigers over the last few years Tim Sheens and his coaching staff have them playing a style of rugby that could be described as vibrant, uncoventional and unpredictable. With PG now at the helm of the black and whites do we have the quality right now to adopt this Wests philosophy and pull it off or are we going in over our heads.

Just interest in peoples thoughts as I'm sat on the fence with this one if he and the players pull it off we're in for some long overdue entertainment. If not it could be a disaster of peter walsh preportions.

It's a great ambition but I'm not sure you have the halves to pull it off. Looking at your team from the outside I would say you are stronger in the forwards.



Wests have Rangi Chase running the show who naturally has the flair and exuberance needed.

Although Cas Tigers may be a more realistic aspiration than Wests Tigers. I'm already fecking off, don't throw things!

i'd rather lose trying to play entertaining rugby than lose playing the boring stuff we ve been served up for the number of years..................

The main thing I think we will see us taking from Wests is a ton of scrum plays and working the short side by over loading it.



I actually thought last year we tried to play some expansive stuff but the problem was as soon as it went wrong we went away from it and back to the boring safe stuff. Its why when we clicked last year we ran up some points but on the other hand when stuff went wrong we tried to keep it tight and became predictable and sides ran away from us in second halfs.

Gentle also added the caveat that although we didn't have Benji, our halves were training the same way.

agree with previous comment, would rather us lose playing exiting, unpredictable rugby then lose doing the same boring thing week in week out.
