What are you talking about? The man is world class, Expro says so!
I agree with you, you can't drop Obst from the 13 for putting in performances like he has so far. So even if you move it about you're having to bench Houghton to accomodate Long and other than his name, there isn't the justification for doing that. |

With regard to Longy I'm not claiming he's pulled up any trees but I thought he did OK against KR when we attacked in the first half until the forwards lost the middle. He's also hardly ever played with Horne so I'd like to see that. ATEOTD if the Obst/Horne partnership is better then we should ultimately go with that but we need to see all the options in my view. I think bringing Long in gives us the most options of the lot.'"
So we break up a working partnership to try a different partnership, makes no sense to me. |

We're on a run of one win in 5, I don't think we're in a position to be messing around 'looking at options' etc. Obst and Horne in the halves is working pretty well, would be mad to change it when we're desperate for some wins IMO. |

dont you think long on the bench comming on for houghton moving obst to hooker makes more sense.that way long gets to go at a tiring defence while he is fresh |

Often agree with the two of you but you're wrong here. Long needs to be on the field because he relegates Washbrook from the bench. Turner and Dowes are hopefully also out of the 17 if Moa and O'Meley come through OK. Long has to be given a chance to prove his critics wrong and get into some form. We have to play our best 17 if we have any hope of competing and Long has to be in that 17 in front of Washbrook and Turner. We even then have 17 more or less playing in their right positions , well near as Agar is going to allow anyway. |
