Bit of a myth. There are a lot of good players in Aus which makes their 'average' higher than ours, so the middle-ground players there do well over here. Tripe is tripe though, and they've still got players like that just as we have.

I think Gould is just sabre rattling to some ego's at the Panthers . Jennings would be a hit in SL if he sorted himself out , Sika manu would be a good addition to the pack but other than that ,maybe Daniella in the centre's , theres not much really to improve on what we already have.

It's to do with their contracts not having any 3rd party payments.

Been told a very good chance Hock could be with us next season, all dependant on Tickle leaving now though.

And yet I wouldn`t mind him crossing the great divide.

We shouldn't be entertaining him at all IMO. He is a liability on and off the field, I'd sooner have Danny Tickle in a Hull shirt for the full season than GH for part of it.

What message does it send out to the younger players if we sign a waster like Hock?

I'm torn on him myself mate, for every moment of brilliance he has a moment of stupidity!! I know he's had his off field issues but he's done his time on that.



I was talking to someone close to the club yesterday and they said that Tickle is certain to leave at the end of next season, and with the opportunity to sign Hock cropping up, the club are pushing hard to get him.



They also said the squad as it is now, will not be the squad at the start of the season, thankfully there's only 2 months to go and we know where we are!!

I'd say the message it would send is "Here is a guy that made a mistake and copped two years for it. Ask him if he thinks it was worth it."



The guy has paid his dues. He is an England international. I'd sign him as a prop personally and keep Tickle. Lynch, Watts, Hock and O'Meley would be a beast of a pack!

For me its not just the off the field for Hock

Hock is a bad lad yes. He may have his off field problems. But didn't some of the players we signed last season have problems.



End of the day in my eyes, is if a player of hocks ability comes available. You have to throw your name in the hat for him.



I agree with previous posts regarding his ban. He served his 2 years and now looks to be more hungry then ever to play. Yes he may like to throw punches everynow and then that's down to gentle to sort out.
