What did Brian Noble do in 3.5 years at Wigan? He got them to avoid relegation, to three SL semi finals and 2 CC semi finals (and broke the cap twice). They finished 8th (after cheating the cap to avoid relegation), 6th, 4th and 6th.



The year he left, Michael Maguire (an untested assistant) with exactly the same squad except Paul Deacon (brought in as a back up half at the time) got them to first and win the GF. A year later they were pipped to first but won the CC.



Brian Noble did very well at Bradford, but has been nothing other than a good settling coach for lower table clubs since. He's perfect for Salford, but won't take them to the next step. We need the next step.

This, Noble may well have improved us but we still wouldn't be challenging to top teams. If we get rid of PG it has to be for a top coach who would have us challenging.

Correct, bring back Peter sharp, if Pearson had been at the club when Peter was last here I'm certain we would have won super league by now, brilliant coach and person.

He was too outspoken for the board at the time. I think he'd be the perfect man for the job. He's the best coach Hull have had in all the time I've been a supporter.

Sharp made us bloody hard to beat and i wonder how much his hands were tied behind his back,he also had to deal with the Cooke saga,Swain retiring and possibly the worst injury crisis to hit the team and he was binned off on the back of all this.
