I mean East and West Britain: North & South won't work and Yorks v Lancs misses other teams than Quins potentially.



The problem with Hull is there are not enough players eligible to play for England (unless we exclude Rovers)

I think when he said split the country in 2 he might have mean't England.

I think I might also be being a bit elitist. How do the Welsh and Scottish pick their teams if we're only picking English players from the origin players and yet I'm including Wales and Scotland in my map.

You could split it to four regions, and play two-legged semi final stage, one game played in each region, and a final. Maybe a third place playoff so each team gets three games. I'm not sure what the regions would be like

I think that would involve too many players and lesson the quality/intensity that we need. i think a straight line down the country from the Yorks/Lancs border would suffice,it doesn't need to be an exact science.

Yeh, I think you're right, just trying to offer an alternative where no SL clubs are excluded, for instance if Crusaders were classed as Lancashire, their fans wouldn't be too enthusiastic towards a team called Lancashire, who are playing at Wigan with no Welshman in the team. However, Yorkshire vs Lancashire does have the name to be marketable, rather than 'East vs West' might not.

Although East v West could also include Russia and the Lebanon

Maybe a Lancs / Yorks /Cumbria tri county series would wrok and help the guys in cumbria show what they are about??? lot of lads playing is SL from cumbria

Think if cumbria were involved it would need to also include a southern team including wales as a developing combination.



I would rather just see it left as yorks v lancashire. The Aussies dont see the need to widen it from NSW v Queensland.
