| I have a feeling there will be envious eyes watching from Oz!, we may struggle to hold onto him when his current deal expires, he would be a star in the NRL too

| Fantastic player, such a talent. One areas he needs to improve is his support play, he's a bit lazt imo.
Great effort for the first try and to stop Fox. Briscoe officially has ownership of Fox

Raynor, Calderwood, Scott Donald, Pat Richards, Brian Carney to name 5 off the top of my head all better than Tom at their peaks than he is NOW (IMO of course).
Certainly Tom's defensive positioning is still not what it could be and he's been susceptible under the high ball on occasion.

Scott Donald and Pat Richards English?
I think Briscoe is already better than Raynor and Calderwood.
Neither of them could score trys like Briscoe does.

well said - thanks to great covering from Phelps Fox didn't score - Tom B wouldn't have caught him in a millon years otherwise - saying that, thought Briscoe looked lively as did the whole team in contrast to the lacklustre performance in France.Well done Longy - thought Whiting should have been MOM

| I thought Briscoe's smartest piece of play in the game was the bundling of Fox into touch after Fox's 'voluntary tackle'. It showed great intelligence to just hover above Fox and wait for him to regain his feet before shovelling him over the line.
Top marks for Bentham too for allowing the play, other refs would've blown for a second effort.

We also tried it the far corner when Latus? caught one and hit the deck.

Unless we start challenging for trophies in the next 12-18 months we have no chance of keeping him

I also believe that our board's valuation of him will be way below what other teams would be willing to offer. Their thinking is probably along the lines of: "well if he goes, we'll just shove Jack in there, the plebs will never know the difference"

Don't think that's the case at all. He seems to really like it at Hull and trophies or not he could easily choose to extend his deal.
