Yeah, One watches RL from a stand and the other plays bingo 5 nights a week. Longy won £55 last week on a full house.

I'd dosnt matter. The older you get the more brittle your bones become. In a high impact sport 3 or 4 years can make a big difference. It's also about how you look after yourself over the years. Look at Fitz or Menzies, and if you have read Longys book you'll know he didn't look after himself in the early years. He's paying for it now.

Long has made it quite clear he wants another year, the club have said they want him for at least another year, however SL has also been professional enough to say lets wait see how it goes for the remainder of the season and make a shout along the way!!, no real rush...

A fit SL playing well is worth waiting for IMO

However as we know the injury he sustained could have been picked up by anyone and very unlucky indeed and is not joint injury which are usually the issues older guys have

In hindsight we should of signed Deacon instead of Long, I seem to remember Wigan were sniffing for Long back when he signed for us. Deacon would of been a much bigger player for us IMO.

defending Longs injury record at our club is ridiculous and deluded... the number of games we get from him is not good enough. some people pretend the issue is not his age. IMO either he is too old i.e. injury prone or he is crocked plain and simple. we should be looking to get 20+ games a year from a half-back
