As far as the English Super League goes, Hull FC are one of the biggest clubs there is.

The size of the club, & the quality of the squad has not translated into results on the field though.

With the size of the City , the fanbase and the infastructure Hull FC should be the biggest Club in English RL.

Until the Board appoint a top class Coach this will not happen. This will not happen with Hetherington in charge though.

leeds dwarf every other club in SL, wigan are a distant 2nd with us probably (potentially) 3rd

You forgot to mention Leeds and Bradford have football clubs too.



I would say we should be one of the top 3/4 clubs in SL taking everything into consideration.

Leeds and Bradford only have one of each though, we are competing for fans with two other clubs, I criticise many things about FC, but the off the field stuff is good (save a few howlers because things don't get properly proff read, and I don't linke the spin)

Having watched the interview I think Carney was questioning in the nicest possible way whether Gleeson was mentally ready to be thrown into a game as big as this, after what's he's been through.



We can't dismiss what he says as Carney has played outside him....but like Cullen said, Gleeson has a habit of impressive debuts so I'm sure he will be fine.

I never said our City / fanbase is larger than Leeds etc . I stated that with the size of the City and our fanbase we should be the biggest Club in SL. My opinion of course.

With the right product on the field there would be 16k week in ,week out at the KC. The likes of "smaller" Clubs like Huddersfield and Wire have overtaken us because their Boards have grasped that success with the first team filters down through the Club. This breeds a confidence which spreads through the Club and grows.

I look at our squad and on paper it is strong. What would Maguire or Brown do with this squad?

Totally agree, but to be the best we need someone at the top with a bit of drive, ambition and passion for the club, who will invest in the club, try their damdest to bring the best coaches and players to our club, but until one of us wins the Euro millions, it aint gunna happen.
