Yes I would like us to be more creative, the Wigan fans were excellent yesterday and had a variety of songs.

Salford away last season was the best game for new songs, there was a Tom Briscoe one that we were singing for ages but apart from a few people around us people just turned round and looked at us like we were idiots. |

Again, you can't say "the atmosphere was good at a final so why not at a league game". They're totally different. Everyone is up for it. Regardless of where you were sat, you wanted to sing and shout. Compare that to a league game against Widnes for example. The people that want to sing may be spread out everywhere, and thus not much gets off the ground. At terraced grounds, these people all stand together and things take off.
Even when we were on our great run in 2006, we barely had much going.
Being all-seater doesn't mean there can't be a good atmosphere. But it does prevent it from happening more often than it could. |
