| Couldn't really care less about the result tonight hopefully tomorrow we can up our game once again and leave our grand final destiny to ourselves without relying on bad referee decisions going against us.

| Quote Mrs Barista="Mrs Barista"Warrington deserve their GF place without a doubt, they've been very very good all year. But all that will be remembered from tonight is Warrington being gifted 2 tries and Peyroux denied one. Plus randomly invoking replays for stuff. Wire's name is on the SL trophy in more ways than one.'"
would it be such a bad thing if Warrington won the GF? Finished top over the season..with easily the best offence and defence in the league. No better team in the comp...no better team qualified to win it.
Now we might not win it...but we certainly deserve our shot at it.

Er, I said Warrington deserve their place in the final. And after Tony Smith handled the Wembley loss with such dignity I said I wouldn't mind at all if you won the other comp. But it's poor that the main talking point is that 3 tries were incorrectly awarded, all in your favour, in a game win by 8 points.

| That was a shocking display from the 4 officials, what a shame it's the main topic of conversation yet again. Thaler nipping back and forth to the video ref during open play to Wires benefit each time and missing knock ons and dropped balls and hands in the tackle at crucial times directly affected the result. There's no wonder people are walking away from the game and throwing around accusations of conspiracy.
Just for the record,I've got nothing against Warrington and their form over the season deserves to see them at Old Trafford, just not in the circumstances we witnessed last night. If the officials stiff them in the GF I hope they're as gracious as KC was last night. How he kept a lid on it I'll never know.
I think I'm gonna need to be in a padded room to watch tonight's game.

| Last night was an embarrassment for rugby league refereeing. Saints have been robbed of a grand final place. Warrington's last try very obviously wasn't and considering the linesman was literally one foot away you only have to assume he is blind. How the video ref didn't see Saints' try I do not know. Perfect example of the failures of this on field decision situation that needs to be scrapped as soon as possible. I haven't seen that system really make a proper positive impact once yet. Ridiculous.
I aren't too concerned about Warrington getting there after saying all that however! In the interests of rugby league and the record books I would like to see a new team win the league just sp that we don't go 21 seasons with only 4 teams winning. If we get there that at least guarantees a new winner. Come on you 'ull!!

I might be wrong, but I the nrl, doesn't it only go back to the refs on field decision if VR cant make try or no try decision. Makes more sense and you don't seem to get all this BS

A couple of years ago people were moaning that referees were all cop outs and couldn't make a decision for themselves. So they brought in a rule... The referee HAS to make an on field decision as to what he's seen or thinks. In this case Thaler sent it up as a 'no try'. The video Ref has to have 100% conclusive evidence that the ball is on the ground legally for it to be turned over. The replays didn't show 100% conclusive evidence so the decision stays with the on field referee's decision.
The Same with Tierney's Try in the corner against Wire. His hand looked to be in touch but there was not enough 100% evidence to contradict the on field decision. If That was sent up as a no try it probably would have been chalked off.
What do people want? We moan about Referees having more responsibility.... well this is what you get. It's sport, shizznizz happens. Christ, God forbid Warrington might get the rub of the green against Saints, They've been getting the rub over us for the last 20 years near enough.

For me, the sky commentators and a former match official, the ball had been grounded. The ball was on the line.
Not sure why it went up as a "no try". Thaler showed a lack of consistency in his own decision making evidenced by him sending Sam Powells effort at the KC as "try", when there was virtually no proof of it being grounded. Then the VR has to look fora reason not to give it.
I don't go into the theory that any referee is biased, but the levels of consistency and competence has to be scrutinised.

| Saints got what they deserved, their spoiling tactics of flops, lying on, and markers not square went unpunished all game. Trying to 'let the game flow' by not giving penalties penalises the better side
