| I thought both had great games and really happy for Yeamo that he predominantly stayed in the line and kept the left edge solid. Made his tackles when racing in too so very pleasing. Reed also I was happy for as he got his defence right too making right edge more solid. Need to repeat that against Aussies and if we defend as team like that we can frustrate them in their attack and then we have a great chance to win the game and turn the Aussies over at last.
Would be great to see Yeamo defend like that week in week out for us too. Minor technical changes given MAJOR improvements to performance. Hats off to Macnamara too as i assume he's seen the problem and rectified it. TOP MARKS ALLROUND

| Both had good games, looks more comfortable and had some great defence. Yeamo pulled out a few of his specials and stood up well.
Wilkin would not be playing if Ellis/Burgess were fit anyway. Passes once and we score, funny that! I too would like to see Sinfield at 13, with Widdop and Chase in the halves. Get rid of Wilkin and put Heighington/starting back row on the bench.

Both played very well. Our backfive look very good and settled.
Pleased for the Hull lads though, always nice to see your own do well.

Shouldn't get picked if they don't play in SL.

I'd be more inclined to say that they shouldn't be picked just because they play in the NRL, as seems to be the case with him.

The Aussies won't pick anyone who doesnt play in Oz and that must be a factor in them deciding whether or not to come to the northern hemisphere. Let 'em go to Australia but don't pick them for the national team. It's time to concentrate on developing our youngsters.

But playing down under will develop them. We don't have the depth to exclude players like Ellis, Graham and Burgess.

I'm not saying these lads aren't good - I'm just saying we should find others to develop instead of them. We don't have the depth because we continue to bring players like Widdup over just because they play in the NRL. He came over last time, as pretty much a rookie, at no 1 and he's been brought over again this time as a utility player. Surely we can find someone over here who can play the positions he's been picked to cover? And if they're not as good as him, well what better chance to improve them by exposing them to international RL (like Smith did with Briscoe).

Also, Burgess hasn't played this year and we've survived without him as well as beating the world champions without Ellis.

Why shouldn't we bring them over? Ok Heightington has never been here, but Widdop and Reed were born here! Both playing first grade in the best standard in the world. We bring them over because they are good enough to play in the England team, Reed is the best centre in our squad and Widdop has had another good season at the storm with Smith, Slater and Cronk.

We have, but I reckon if Ellis and Graham don't play against Aus, we'll struggle to match them up front. I can well see the arguments for not playing Chase, or even Widdop and Heighington to a limited extent. But to refuse to pick our own British born and trained players because they're now playing in the NRL would be absolute madness.
