| Quote Jake the Peg="Jake the Peg"I doubt we'll "get rid" but he may get better offers elsewhere. I'd be surprised if he leaves. Can't see him going to another SL club and he need another year or 2 under his belt before going to the NRL IMO'"
Yeah I get you, I should have been more clear, I think we'd have to do our best to beat any offer if there was a good one

| I've seen Long on a pay-as-you-play deal suggested a few times, but how would that work with the live cap? Presumably we'd have to leave enough cap space free to pay him in case he played in all games?
TBH it's probably academic anyway - his body has got no rugby left in it, so we should just accept that and plan for next season without him.

They'll just multiply his match fee by about 4 to get his annual payment for the salary cap

| I've liked Radford in the front row, he's a tough b@stard and will drive the ball in as well as graft in defence.

| A report in the Aussie press saying Fitz will be retiring at the end of the season, no surprise.
Quote And while Waterhouse will depart for the English Super League, The Sun-Herald has learnt Roosters, Blues and Kangaroos legend Craig Fitzgibbon will retire at year's end and return home. A chronic shoulder injury is said to be the catalyst for the decision and he is feeling out the Roosters to begin his future off the field.
Chief executive Steve Noyce speaks with Fitzgibbon often but said no deal had been made in relation to employment for the club veteran.

Best all round if he does...Time for Westerman to be given the 13 shirt.

| true legend fitzy and have no doubts that he could go on for another couple of years in super league but i feel this would be for the best, since hes been here hes had trouble with his shoulder and its a good chance for him to finish whilst still been a top player and important to the team and allows us to look to the future but like kearney has had a huge impact on and of the field and will be rememberd for years to come
