Lee Briers is currently the 1st name on a team sheet of a team that is challenging for and winning honours and he isn't good enough for a team that is currently at the bottom of the league with the worst points for and against?



If this was a player who didn't play for your rivals would the same still stand?



If it was the other way round and can tell you for nothing i'd jump through hoops to get Lee in my team.

Totally agreee there Yed, he's certainty best stand off in this country since Tony myler best out and out kicker I've seen since shaun Edwards would be my first choice week in week out

Its only my opinion and watched widi widnes for 35 yrs so watched Great players ,Good players ,and of later years plenty of poop players too

No offence, but why would Lee want to sign for no-hopers like Widnes when there's a new contract offer on the table from trophy-chasing Wire?

Most likely not a Wire fan anyhoo, just a sad loner trying to communicate with real people but not grasping how to before moving on to make a big statement - march up the highstreet in his camouflage gear etc...

Firstly the myth of Lee Briers being unable to defend is garbage. I watch him week in week out and I've no fears when teams attack him.



Secondly he would grace any team in the league. I hope to God he doesn't go to Widnes I'd want to see him finish his career at Wire. However, if he does I'll still applaud him when he plays against us. Great player and certainly someone who has matured greatly off the pitch the last few years.

Lee maybe well into his 30s now but he's playing as well as he's ever done at anytime in his career.



We are hoovering up trophies like there's no tommorow thesedays,and none of them is the National Rail Cup,so why would he want to leave?



Top players want to play for top clubs who win trophies,that's why Lee will be staying with the mighty Wire and not plying his trade at a bottom of the table outfit like Widnes.

If Widnes want to sign Lee Briers they need to sign a big pack of forwards first, otherwise there will be no point in having him.
