I agree. But Hanbury is the future. Briscoe is still a fine full back who will play well at a lower lever for 3 or so seasons. |

Whilst I would have played Briscoe a bit more often. If DB has decided that he cant play him he might as well be released. I dont know whether that means we have paid his contract up or reached some sort of deal. It will be interesting to see if we try to bring anyone in before the end of the season.

I wasn't questioning the decision to release them, I've no issue with it at all. Was just wondering if this would be just cost saving or if people thought we might get someone else in! |

Betts/Cassidy no longer speak to Briscoe, not so long ago he was your 'star signing'.....a bizarre situation don't you think
My mate Steve Hull coaches at Thatto Heath along with Shaun.
Said he was hoping to sign for Featherstone, but will finish the season at Workington. Seeing as Fev's full back is engaged to their chief exec's daughter, maybe he'll have to look elsewhere,

I thought it was common knowledge that they had a fall out? Never officially heard why like but I heard "a" reason..doesn't mean it's true altho was from a good source which if true it was a bit harsh on brisk. I didn't attend brisks testimonial game but heard that betts refused to play?..again I don't know for certain..maybe someone can confirm this?

Why does it have to be a big signing? We got Joe Mellor on loan about this time last year etc.
Neither were in the squad so doubt we'll be desperate to bring anyone in. Though if someone comes available like last season we'll be in a posistion to make a move.
If we were chasing the 8 I'd say to for something but looking like that has past with recent barrow defeats / draws. Still got players to fit back into the side too etc.
