I don't think the Cougars fan was too upset about the fishing song and to be fair as a Rovers fan who was at the game, it did get a bit tedious at times. A man shouldn't have to move to another part of the ground to protect his son from foul language. Sounds like A Adler is condoning this or am I misreading him.

I didn't and don't take offence at that. It's not as if it was an 80 minute swear-a-thon; it wasn't. The Maggie Thatcher song wasn't right clever in that respect though. But it was 80 minutes of, to borrow El Red's word, tedium. Sense of humour? There was nothing to remotely activate my sense of humour because, despite the lads' best efforts throughout the game, they just weren't funny and it became, since it was constant, an unwelcome distraction from what was happening on the pitch.
