| A sensible lot of responses for me.
The Bratfud fans thought Moss a fantastic player. He looks class and can score from anywhere. He was always looking for work Sunday just got no service.
Shame that the one weak point of Minns' game is he doesn't pass. Moss did his nut at him first half for not passing to him on that long break he made. If Minns learns to pass he could be a top quality centre.
I wouldn't drop Moss with service or moved to full back he'll run riot. Shaw hasn't done anything wrong. Oakes needs looking after. Bring him in now and again. Butler Fleming I'm guessing can play or Sheens wouldn't have brought him over.
If Clark and Scruton are out shows how light we are for front rows with the back up options. All but one a little on the light side...again.
The rest pick themselves on performances so far.
Horne and the bigot back up squad players for me.

| Moss isn't a winger he's a specialist fullback filling in on the wing.

Front row wise we have Kavagnah, Clarkson, Mulhern, Moran and then even at a push Milton (who played mostly prop at Donny) and Clavering (who will be unfit) also Ben Butler looked decent in the reserves game, think we could risk one or two academy players against Sheffield.
Also Greenwood can slot in there in an emergency.

| Quote Gallanteer="Gallanteer"Moss isn't a bad player. In fact most of the team are going well. Moss just looks indecisive at times. That might not be just down to him switching roles. I'm all for giving him a bit more time.
My only slight concern is the halves although neither have done anything drastically wrong, we could do with one of them having more experience in certain situations.
It's working at the moment though so can't see any real need for changes unless forced by injury. Some positions may need stengthening though as the season goes on if gradual improvements aren't made if we want to get back to SL on the first chance. In four more matches a third of the season will have gone, improvements need to be evident (even if only slight) by then.'"
In which situations do Ellis ans Abdul need more experience? Which positions may need strengthening?

Some of the kicking last week wasn't fantastic (but not overly bad) and some leadership when the score is tight (Rochdale away). Neither has done anything wrong as such, it could just be better. In 4 or 5 games if things haven't continued to improve then start considering other options in preparation for the end of the season.
Moss has done OK and is very fast (remember Caro's speed?) but as my brother put it, is full of indecision. He also ran into touch in the Rochdale game. Those saying put him at FB need to think. Would you really swap Quinlan for Moss? Moss therefore needs to either adapt to the role that our uber experienced coach has given him or get swapped out. Moss may eventually get a chance at FB, but Sheens has put him on the wing for a reason. Moss could be an excellent player, but we thought that of Brown, Caro and Dixon in the past as well. I wouldn't drop him but he may not end up being good enough for SL. Time will tell.

In answer to your question. Yes I would put Moss at FB over Quinlan. I don't think Quinlan has been great in attack or defence. He's not done much to convince me he's better than Moss. Maybe things will improve for both of them when it gets a bit warmer.

| I would like to see some squad rotation, until players are tried in a position we will never know how good they are.
I'm old enough to remember us signing an aussie as hooker cover, he couldn't get in the team so Roger tried him at loose man. He went on to win the Daley M - Gavin Miller

I believe its a matter of time before the spine looks like this:
Moss (FB)
Quinlan (Off half)
Ellis (Scrum half)
Lunt (Hooker)
Abdull (Loose forward)
Hopefully we will see Milton in the 17 this weekend

What a player he was When I first so him he played in our A team and my mate who was with me said he looks like a monkey but he was great I think he won our man of steel the first aussie to do so

| Mitch Clark has fractured his ankle and done some ligament damage according to HDM. Out for a couple of months at least. Big loss.

It would have been a bigger loss later on in the season still think we need another big prop

Maybe we could enter into a duel registration agreement with Wakey and ask to loan Mitch Allgood ?
or more realistically this could be a good time to bring in a new signing,
Aussie teams are starting to finalise their teams so we should be able pick up a 18 stone battering ram for a season and not break the bank.
