Seems to me there's a lot of apologists for Tanseys poor tackling technique amongst the fans but not amongst his own coaching staff!

The only trait i want to see in Rugby League is greater punishments for the kind of dangerous tackle Tansey did. It could end a players career and IMO and a two match ban is a joke.

can we add chicken wing tackles to that too before we all get holier than thou!!

firstly i was sat right in front of the tansey incedent and the crusader player (cant be assed to try and spell his name) cut inside just at the moment tansey put his shoulder in, this created a lot of momentum and there wasnt a lot tansey could do about it, secondly i think a bit of play acting has come into rl, especially at the play the ball when the player who has just been tackled suddenly flops back to the floor, all teams do it and it really f@cks me off

Have you told Tom Briscoe about this, I'm sure he would be devastated to find out this fact. Or maybe he would not

like i said, ALL the clubs are doing it, it gets up my nose, but if 1 does it they all do so no one has an advantage, just a shame its happening at all

My pet hate is players who kick out wildly with their legs when tackled, in the hope of penalty. Not only is this dangerous but how can you get up and play the ball quickly if you are thrashing round like a toddler having a tantrum!

im not trying to defend Tanseys tackle, but once youve got hold of the attacker you dont really have time to think about what your gonna do, do you? you just try and put him down, I dont think for one second that he thought "im gonna drop this bloke on his head", chicken wings and turtling players are practised tecniques and should be banned, one could do damage and the other is solely to slow the play down, spoiling the game in other words.

probably hanbury will kick but thats a huge blow for the cru they will probably play youngquest at fullback now
