A game of two halfs,Usain Bolt would have struggled 2nd half for Batley,Didn't think we were that bad 1st half,Just individual errors gave a couple of tries away,Always thought we still had a chance,Crucial scoring 1st,thought we'd left it a tad late before the 1st try in the 2nd half,In hindsight the whole events that unfolded were timed to perfection,Thought Simon Brown was poor,missed tackle for Potts try and then that ridiculous long pass that got intercepted,I think were only 1 classy halfback away from having a real title shot,A halfback type like a Ben Black who attacks the line constantly and causes problems to go with Brambani,Szostak and Green are steady but that won't win you the league and that has been improved upon from last year by Knowles and Scott who has been outstanding and really improved,You can only improve year by year and eventually if all goes well you achieve your goal,With the addition of one player and the squad kept the same,Next year could be a golden year,Weve got a chance this year but will probably come up short again,Its been a good season though.

Was a great second half performance, an enjoyable night out, especially as I went through the wrong turnstile by accident and only got charged £9!

We beat Batley, who are a good side because we put in a very good team performance, like those we were putting in at the start of the season. I don't think anyone was poor, some players may have made an individual error but even Billy Slater does that.



I agree with ESO that Mitch and Nozzer led from the front, for me Nozzer is emerging as unsung hero on 2012 although I think Q will get the player of the season award.



The general opinion seems to be that we owe Keighley one so a similar performance next week should guarantee that.



Agree with Griff that some of the reseach on Premier sports isn't always that premier.



Halifax worked out an expensive night for me as I had both my number plates stolen so I am going to park in a better place against Keighley so if you are thinking about parking near the WMC just of Attercliffe "watch out there's some scrotes about"

two questions



1 - never having had the pleasure of visiting the Batley Riviera, is the slope REALLY that pronounced ?



2 - What's happened to Menzie ?

Don't knock one player for a pass which was intercepted....others has done the same in the past and will continue to do so in the future....they are attempting to open up the play, get the open areas used for clearing lines / attacking etc. A missed tackle by a half-back is noticed more than the missed tackles, dropped tackles etc by forwards.... no player has a perfect 80 mins, if they did then what would the games be like?





Instead of being critical be constructive.



The work load put in by certain players is far too often ignored because of a couple of errors.



A try scorer missed a couple of vital tackles but because he scored does this get forgotten.... Several forwards didn't hold the ball in a tackle but because they were always in the thick off things does this mean they (the errors) can be "forgotten"?



Commentators were singing the praises of certain forwards for their work rate and fitness, but with a dropped ball/pass they didn't say the players were any poorer for doing that, they stated that they would be disappointed with the action. One poor pass, one poor kick, one loose tackle does not make a poor player.



The game was won, it was won the hard way and the opposition were nilled for 45 minutes. The hard 45 mins of the game. All of the side deserve praise for their resilience and teamwork for pulling off the win, not having individuals singled out for a couple of errors.
