One of our fans saw what happened and gave a 10 page statement to police about incident after GF - More to it than fax fans like to believe but lets not let FACTS get in the way

I think that’s a bit harsh, I know they lost the final again against Halifax but you should forgive them.

Seriously though, apart from the ground and crowds Fev probably are ahead of us. Let them give it a whirl I say.

thing is tho u wont be running 4 of them next season if the rfl get there way,u will be a feeder club for cas or wakfield,,

with regards to the fire. I was in the corner of the other stand next to the one that was "on fire", the security person that was near me had to go and do something with regards to the fire, I am not sure what, he could have been trained at putting fires out but had to enter the stand. Later on he returned, when it had all calmed down I asked him what had gone on. his reply was "one of the ****ing catering idiots was flattening boxes and left them next to a fryer that had just been turned off and they had caught fire. The smoke is from when they used the fire extinguisher to put them out. Nothing to worry about". I did ask why the supporters had to move and it was because the fire chief had to do a full inspection of the stand before supporters could return so it meant the game could restart quicker if the fans moved stands.



It always bugs me when people say Halifax set the stand on fire when I was told this directly after the event had happened.

Shame you will have to give this all up to become a SL feeder club next year if the RFL go ahead with their changes.

Remember on the field counts for very little when Fat Controller and his crew sit down and decide who is in or out of SL.

Fev are a well run club but face the facts you are too small to compete and will never get big enough crowds plus even with the new stands POR is not in the same league as 80% of SL grounds plus the Shay and LSV.

Well thank goodness that Mr Sadler isnt in control of anything strategic with decision making like that.



(a) Fev have not applied yet within this licencing period

(b) They are unfortunately just a small town in the Wakefield District with 2 other Super League Clubs already there.(that is just a factual statement not a derogatory one)

Frankly that is the biggest stumbling block to argue they have a viable catchment area of increased supporter base on promotion. The only way the crowd increase is likely; is if Cas and Wakefield are struggling and Fev do better. It isnt improving anything for SL just creating yet more competition in the limited Wakefield catchment area. (if only we had that problem in London!!)

(c) They just lost a cup final to a team who is rapidly taking the mantle of the best team in the championship from them or certainly challenging that assumption. A team that are already in the licencing application process. A team that is financially viable and most importantly a ground already fit for SL starting 2013.

Every time we play fev there is trouble, with Leigh and barrow in the finals we had no problems at all.



Fev are only where they are because of Powell and he's at the wrong club!
