i hear the RFL approached Daryll Powell to ask his views on Fev being admitted to SL however when they knocked on his office door all they found was a note -



"gone dummy shopping with Mark Aston - back for tea"



Shame really, would be nice to have heard what he thought.

Both clubs would get shafted whilst in Super League - by the other clubs, by the referees and by the RFL. Come along, step into this burning pit of molten disaster, kill your club and disappear forever.



Neither club would do any better than Salford, Widnes or Castleford. Go and visit their boards and see how happy they are. For both our clubs, the best chance of top flight RL will come with a 2 tier SL and then a slow organic growth into the top tier. It would be suicide to go in now or 2015, unless a massive sea change occurs at either club.



This post may be un-ambitious and negative but that is what the RFL have reduced the game to. It is no reflection on either club or its tremendous fans.

2 tier SL with Relegation and promotion, would be my choice.

What's negative about wanting to stay in a league that is competetive? Where nearly all the teams can reach a final? As most of SL fans keep telling us, we're where we are on merit,--"where we belong".

I would love to be at the top table, but not at the expense of just makeing up the numbers, until the RFL decide to put Dulls or Toul13back in at the expense of my team in about 2-3 years.

Ray French said something on these lines in his collumn this week with central funding and even distrubution so as to give all clubs a fair chance.

Is that just Championship games, Championship and NRC games or Championship, NRC and CC games?

Faxcar there will be a 2 tier S/L in the 2015 whether the money gets distributed evenly between everyone is another thing



I believe we will be playing one another for many years to come yet and I am quite happy winning the league each season and competing to get to finals than goin up getting beat with no chance of a final



The only problem I see is that clubs like ours don't get enough promoting from the RFL so I can see why people in charge want S/L and the crowds won't come unless we are there your club has just won a cup and you had less than 2000 at your next game
