Reading the trade press yesterday and looking at the attendances for the cup ties, our game is in deep trouble, the crowds were pathetic at almost all of the fixtures.

The prestige of the challenge cup is almost lost to all within the game apart from the four or five clubs capable of winning or getting to the final. How sad.

A sad indictment of the the lack of promotion and relegation culminated with special privileges for clubs who IMO have no right to be sat at the top table me thinks Col! They have taken away true ambition for the majority of the game and fans are losing interest.



Plus there is a recession!

I'm not expecting fantastic attendances when Hudds play their SL games at the Shay.

All it shows is the amount of freebies that are given out for the league games and how most clubs are surviving by a shoe string.

I would say it is unfair to compare the Challenge cup matches involving both a SL and a Championship club , how many Fax fans would attend a CC match against say Leigh East , or Leigh verses Siddal ?



What is worrying [ to the clubs involved are the attendances involving all SL clubs , specifically Huddersfield , drawing 800 more than us against the Catalans and Salford getting 2,000 against Hull KR !

Come on lads the reason our game is booming is because of franchising.



It is a disgrace and the people who decided to introduce it are so shortsighted they should get involved with football.



There are now only 5 teams who could possibly win the Challenge Cup so most fans do not give a monkeys.
