Rochdale digging in this second half. Fair play to them. It's bloody cold I tell thee!

Not the best performance at all. Too many handling errors and penalties. Against Featherstone next week if we play like that we will get beat by a big score. Fair play to Rochdale they gave us a much better game than I thought they would. But a wins a win and we all know we can play better than we did today.

I don,t know faxfan we struggled in the first half against dewsbury don,t know if it is was wednesday nights game taking its toll or some sections of the team didnt gel that well,but having said that in the last 20 mins we seemed to pick up the pace. I guess when a team can churn out 38-6 win when not firing all cylinders then thats the mark of a decent team.

Bit sloppy all round but we really took our foot off the gas in the second half, way too casual. But can't take anything away from Rochdale, their attack was a lot more active in the second half and their scramble defence was brilliant at times, very good to say it was their first game. Nonetheless I thought Thackray had a good game today, created two try's (correct me if i'm wrong) and scored one himself so I'd like to see him starting next week.

Thought ref was clueless today but MOM for me, Fieldehouse, hardly put a foot wrong. Gannon and Robinson, again, good up front.

fieldhouse and ashall both quality again. i thought all 'creators' were poor today, penky was clueless, and handforth was nowhere. bowman and thacks did little for me either. but a wins a win. defence was good again.

As you say a win is a win but it was a step back after last week, Rochdale did excellent considering it was their first game of any kind.

Some players did themselves no favours today like Josh lets lose our head Barlow, get back to what you were doing before Josh and back to keeping your head and not trying to knock theirs off!

Handforth was superb last week but his kicking was poor this week, they kicked much better than us which was weird when we had 3 half backs on the pitch at one point, we lost our way in the second half but I suppose at 26 nil we had the game well and truly won but they should have kicked on and racked up a few more points.

Fieldhouse was excellent and one of a few who gave it 100%, the pack did okay Gannon and Robinson went well and Ashall was very good.

Penky was well Penky, create 2 tries but throw 3 silly passes out.

Hey ho, it was hard getting up for a game that they knew they would always win, the crowd was flat and there was not much atmosphere,I was shocked how few came over from Rochdale there was hardly a murmour when they scored their try.

Anyway I am sure it will be a lot different next week, it will be a good benchmark for us playing the best team at this level, lets see how we go then eh it will tell us a lot.

Ashall the stand out player for me today,and i thought fieldhouse looked good apart from one dropped kick off(if it was him). Like other have siad our front rowers all showed up well so not all bad news. Was impressed with the move that lead to the Warriers try but nothing else to really set the pulses racing. I've yet to be convinced about Penky playing the full 80 minute and think we miss Beswick's influence but it's early days yet and i'm sure Karl will get the team playing the way he wants before too long

Anyone know if Morrison is ok? He went off early and didn't come back on did he? Will be a massive blow if HE is injured?
