Town scored late to earn an FA Cup replay against Chester - but the game was marred by fighting between the two sets of fans while the match was being played.



Fighting broke out between groups of fans in two separate first half incidents - the first of which occured in the third minute when fans from the away section jumped over the hoardings and attacked the home fans behind the goal.



Twenty minutes later there was more fighting - this time at the other end, as the police and stewards struggled to deal with the violence.

No excuses, it WAS the away fans again.

The Courier says that Halifax "supporters" broke through barriers and attacked the home supporters 3 mins into the game.

6th division football? What is there to fight about?

Not wanting to make light of football violence but THAT is so funny

I think most know my thoughts on Halifax Town or whatever they are called and many of their fans. However these idiots probably have been to RUgby games and likely been causing trouble at our games in the past. If these idiots are caught, they should not just be banned from Football Grounds, but all Sports Stadiums. We dont need these idiots turning up at Featherstone for example. It times like this where the Soccer and Rugby clubs need to work together and stop such idiots turning up at any of our games home or away.

What absolute rubbish. An overwhelming majority are always quick to condemn the idiots that tag along to cause trouble.

Many Town fans seem very happy to cause trouble in one form or another -whether it be at a Stadium or causing trouble for the Rugby club....

very true, just hope the fans and club name and shame them plus ban where can.

"Halifax did write to us in the last week to advise us that they have a potential unruly element following them at the moment so both Halifax and Chester have been proactive."



Can't wait for them to get Millwall/Leeds/Stoke/Cardiff in later rounds
