Friendly banter wise, who is worse... Saints or Wigan ?



I would prefer Bradford or Hull to win than a team of pie eaters from wrong side of t' Pennines

Cas over the others first and foremost.

Cas do REALLY hate us for some inexplicable reason - inferiority complex I guess or the fact that they begrudge us for being forced to support our football team as they don't have one of their own.

Don't the games have to be fairly even and intense to qualify as a rivalry?

I was still half asleep when I posted and assumed it as some derby type thread. Cas and Leeds do have a very big rivalry though and I know it's the game I look forward to most in a season (although our games against St Helens rarely fail to deliver these days) as the intensity is always there and apart from a few results in the last 2 or 3 years (cue tvoc to prove me wrong

) no matter how good Leeds have been, Cas always seem to give us a good game.

Having played them in four of the last 5 Grand Finals, a couple of classic cup semi finals and a few very intense tasty league games it's got to be Saints for me over the last few years.



Cas are irrelevant. They might get the odd upset against us but we compete for trophies, they don't. Saints and Wigan (and the Bulls a few years ago) are our competition for trophies.

The Wigan games for me are the most intense and in the past few years we've always seemed to cause them problems, regardless of our form, so they are the ones I look forward to. The Saints games have lost a bit of needle since a few players on either side have gone, and a bit of a mutual respect seems to be building.



I can't get excited about Cas games anymore, because apart from a few exceptions, we usually give them a good towelling.



Bradford are barely even worthy of mention anymore.

Saints imo are the no1 rival.

Then Wigan plus i think Wire/Giants are getting there.

Easiest answer anybody who doesn't play at Headingly.

Got to say between 07 and 09 the Leeds Saints games were brilliant and both sides seemed to have a real dislike for each other, that seems to have been lost abit recently. It tends to be who has success, hence why Wigan is now the game I look forward to most, as we seem to have that dislike for them that we had for Saints, and Bradford in the past.



I find Castleford's hate for us quite amusing, but I they tend to raise their game for us, last year aside.

Agree with you here, Hunslet are our biggest Rivals. I dream of the day when we are playing Hunslet in Superleague, sadly in the real world I can't see it happening for along long time.



Other than Hunslet, I'd have to say Wigan, I just can't stand those pie eaters.
