As much as I love him for what he's done, Wellens has to go. He is shocking.

Yes he's spilled one ball that let there first try in but anyone would struggle in those conditions?

Wello to stay at Full Back until at the end of the season at least. I have a feeling the Full Back next year will be Lance Hohaia, Stand Off Leon Pryce, Scrum Half Jonny Lomax with Wello switching to the pack in the Second Row or Loose Forward.

He was awful today. He was nowhere near any of their kicks and it costs us a good 20m each and every set. On the two occasions when he was within half a mile of the kicks, he dropped them.



If you put Brett Hodgson into our side at fullback we'd be a whole heap better. The position has to be looked at for next season. Given how well Lomaskell have done (Lomax was also dreadful today mind) I'd be asking Lance Hohaia to play 1.

Hopefully Wellens will not be 1 next season-too ponderous now

Wello has been brilliant for us and todays conditions would test anyone.



However, like other posters, I have a feeling that Lance Hohaia will end up playing at full back for us rather than 7 next season as its his best postion with Wello moving to 13.

However, he wasn't the only one to have a poor game. Ironically, all the guys backing up had good games - Wilkin had a terrific one.

Saddened do you actually watch Saints live or just talk rubbish from the arnchair?

Absolutely clueless the mind boggles.



In addition Hohaia has signed primarily as a half, with his main weakness being under the high ball. Youve got to love the knee jerk rubbish on here sometimes if we dont rack up a cricket score.

Look beyond the insults stan. How about looking at what I wrote? Do you think Wellens' performances are on an acceptable level for a team with ambitions to win Super League? Do you not think his lack of pace is hurting us, particularly as his solidity and 'safe as houses' ability seems to be on the slide.

Given his form over the course of this year so far I would say yes his performances are acceptable.The weather today was appauling and every player struggled with it,making a judgement based on todays performance is just daft imo.



Im not sure if you do it to spark debate or if you just troll,but your glass is half empty approach on the boards and the team/players performances makes me wonder at times.
