I am sure you guys will all be wishing Lee well today, it would be great to see a lad from St Helens get to the Grand Final and beat Leeds.

Nah, I know your team has a number of our rejects but we've got plenty of our own St Helens lads to cheer on thanks.

I have to bow down to you, it is a superb likeness.

Big thumbs up for Briers. A St. Helens lad that didn't want to leave who deserves plenty of credit for rescuing his career years past the point when most judges thought he'd p!ssed it into the gutter of underachievement.

How do you make out he didnt want to leave? It was a long time ago but I recall him not being too happy about not getting a shirt for Wembley and that encouraged Dire to come in with an offer. Personally I'm pretty glad he left because if he hadn't we would never have gone for Longy.



Can't say I like him as a player (his constant bleating makes wello seem like he's taken a vow of silence) and from what I hear he isnt a nice bloke off the field.

No sour grapes from me. The only time I ever want Dire to win is when you play the goons, next week is no exception.

Wire have been dire for most of his career. Briers deserves his 80 minutes on the biggest stage next week.

I doubt he would say " I spat my dummy out because I got dropped" . Talented player no doubt but like I said him or Longy ? no contest Longy every day of the week.

Not so difficult is it just say well done even if you can't stand him + how do you know he's not a nice man off the field?I've met him personally + from my own opinion that's a load of rubbish.Also does a lot for charity like a many players.
