Who would your choice be?

In the team we have now it would be Hanley. Followed closely by Newlove.

It would have to be the great Trevor Foster for mine and the 1947 Challenge Cup victory over Leeds where he scored.

Aye it has to be Trevor Foster and that team of the 1940s. Ernest Ward, Frank Whitcombe, Eric Batten, Willie Davies etc.

Having had the privilege to meet and chat to (on a number of occasions) and even give a few lifts to the great Sir Trevor, I would have loved to have actually seen him playing in his heyday.

i would have liked to have seen: Sir Trevor, Sir Keith, Sir Ernest and Ellery Hanley.



I managed to see fairbank and newlove playing for northern/bulls but i was a bit too young to see hanley pull on a northern shirt.

Probably someone like Trevor Foster or Ernest Ward, since I'm old enough to remember the modern day legends





If you're asking which player I'd like to watch in our team right now, then I think Ellery Hanley would certainly put the finishing touch to our current team!

Yeah Ellery in the centres would be awesome. We could use someone capable of scoring 50+ a season.
