My question....What do you charge charities for players turning up to charitable events? If so ,what charties have you charged?and how much? Have you borrowed money of the Salford charitable foundation?If so how much?Do you feel that children in need is a better cause than yours?

The scheme allowed companies to take on staff without paying them in the guise of work experience and CV building. So rather than giving people who were out of work the chance to do a paid job, even if only temporarily, they were asked to work for free instead. All of this on a scheme which was found, when reviewed, to no provide any improved chance of finding work after you'd been through it.



But, we're digressing, this is a completely different thread topic altogether. Hopefully come tonight we'll have more positive things to talk about.

I'd stay away from tonight's Q & A's if I was you MM. Forget the Dragons den type crowd in attendance because the realists already know this meeting is a farce, tonight's crowd will be like the pied pipers followers dancing to his latest tune of spin with possibly the main event being a 3rd 5 year plan in six month. A chance to paper over his cracks with Michegan Red spinning on his back doing a windmill.



This meeting has only come about because the Salford Star put a spanner in the works of the councils secret bailout plan meaning the spin doctor Wilkinson now has to face the music. The beach boys heads will be back in the sand by 19:05pm tonight.

Actually, most people I know are going along to constructively question the club about the current situation, find out the level of sh*te we are actually in and try to help find a way forward. Can't do that if you're just going with the intention of calling everyone c*nts. Similarly, if you're just going to laud Wilky and not be open to any criticism then you're not going to help either.

I'll be surprised if that actually happens tonight GT. They'll be the usual crew who hang onto every word John says and believe it with a passion, (look where that has gotten us!?), they'll be the sceptics who'll just listen but have been told not to rock the boat so won't say a thing, then they'll be the realist who will walk away totally dismayed that they've heard it all before!



I don't believe in the slightest that anyone will get answers tonight? Sure you're going to hear that the captain is back at the helm, he'll put a great spin on a desperate situation, he'll tell you that as long as we're all pulling in his direction we'll be fine. Nothing wrong with that so long as past mistakes have been learnt, however, I also think many attending will believe we're still on the same path as the Titanic.

Who eats out of his palms? I think you're confusing me with someone else. Then again, I've also been accused of having an anti-club agenda on here before now so thanks for proving the point I'm making about the lack of constructive debates from both sides of the camp.

Unfortunately, you might be right. If the debating techniques on here are anything to go by it'll turn into a bunfight between the "everything's sh*t and you all want sacking" brigade and the "we're well run on a shoe string, you can't blame anyone at the club" brigade.

Most of the people I know who are attending are doing so with valid salient questions to pose to the members of the board in question, they will ask in a reasoned manner not in the accusatory tone the members of the spasticity gang continually do on here.
