Some still live with the belief that the Salford Public is not apathetic.

The club need to be clear (a) why the meeting is being called and what they hope to achieve and (b) that there will be FULL transparency with supporters. Otherwise why should anyone bother turning up to get the mushroom treatment again?



It appears it has only been advertised via Facebook and reds.co.uk as well, restricting it to those with an internet connection. It also needs to be advertised in the local press and via other means. It speaks volumes that even this can't be organised properly.

....in contrast to Castleford who called a public meeting,told the supporters they had financial difficulties,asked if they would join a Membership Scheme - the supporters,being tretaed like adults did so,and they continue to make signings and haven't given themselves zilch time to prepare for the 2013 campaign.

Not really surprised. People will sit at their computers all day long moaning but when it comes to getting up of their s it`s a different story.

Why do people have to register anyway? After everything that has gone on any fans meeting would be well attended. Asking people to register for it just gives the club the chance to hide behind a 'lack of interest' excuse.

I think in this case, it's a matter of saying just do it. Balls to the petty sh=#000000it.

I too don't understand the need to register? So I haven't bothered! Any meeting organised would surely be passed on on here and on facebook as to where & when it is, so belittling the fact there hasn't been many responses is irresponsible.



Also as Diavolo Rosso has mentioned, if the club are not clear beforehand on what the meeting is to entail then I fear as he does that the powers that be will just spin another smoke screen for the red spectacled brigade.

I have emailed my interest in attending but think they should just have called an open meeting without the need to register for it.

I know. But considering we're in last rites territory, I wouldn't want to put anyone off either (which is easy to do here).

Suppose the main obstacle for the meeting will be to decide whether to hold it on a Friday night or Sunday afternoon.

You can say I'm at it again and some will, and if we survive I wil get a season ticket for 2013, but if Mr Simms is in

attendence I will be in front of the fire, because I would be telling the chairman about all the money he has wasted on
