I'd take any win against 'Fax really. I think we can beat them, they have some great wingers and centres and a decent pack but if i'm honest Handforth and Thackery as halfbacks don't really worry me at all. Handforth is a middle of the road, solid championship player and has been a decent player for Batley. Thackery is a one trick pony and has always been pretty useless against us in the past.



Should be a good match though. Looking forward to it!



Leigh 24 - 20 'Fax

Not at all. I'd have been worried if they had kept Noble at the helm and not signed the likes of Thackery et al, but with Harrison taking over it has put my mind at rest. He is like the Halifax version of "King Kenny", he can do no wrong in the eyes of the Fax fans.

I fear this so called friendly could get a bit tasty. There will be players who will want to make their mark and prove points before the season starts on both sides. Their game against Salford was not a very friendly affair.

Weve got a pack this year. I think we will go ok. If anything you beating Salford did us a favour because it meant they were up for the game on Sunday which made it tough for us but was just what we needed really. For 30 minutes we more than held our own before all the changes so from what ive seen so far im quite impressed. Im more optimistic for this season than i was the last anyway.

Fax are capable of scoring 2 or even 3 back to back tries because their backs are quick.



They are not good enough in the pack though and their tackling is not too good so I will go for us 48 22.



In the league I expect it to be between us and Fev and us to easily win the NRC Final again.



Our average attendance will go up too and I think Rowley and Jukes will be the coaching team.



In the Challenge Cup we will narrowly lose in a semi because even I don't expect us to do a clean sweep.



Lets not forget no Widnes this season so we will have to have a bit of luck.

Y U No Listen

I wouldnt actually be too dissapointed if you beat us by a few Sunday. The bookies always read too much in to these games and with us already been second favourites it might give us the chance to get some better odds. Like yeah everyone can look at our team and say its a whole lot better than last seasons but maybe they wont gel, maybe our monster pack wont get over the top of people, maybe our half backs will turn out to be worse than Jones/Black combination(Cant see how thats possible) and maybe our backs will forget how to score trys. The bookies must remeber that other teams have improved too and id be happy if we finished 6th.

we will do Leigh by 20+, the boys will be fired up from getting shown up in 2nd half vs Salford.
