| As I understand it, the two previous offers had 'strings' attached - i.e the bidders insisted on Bradford retaining a SL licence, and they also wanted to buy ownership of Odsal. The RFL rejected these offers, as they were not unconditional.
SLE is now buying Bradford, whose SL future will be guaranteed by the new owners - i.e. Sooper Dooper League. Also, the ground ownership will be in the hands of the governing body - the RFL.
So, if the new owners now get the club, the ground and the guaranteed SL licence, why were the two original offers not allowed?
What really amuses me, is that the club will now be in the hands of the other 13/9/11, whatever, SL clubs - most of whom are in the same **** as Bradford! How much can the other SL clubs afford to run Bradford as well as running their own clubs?

| What a joke and it's probably the only way out for the Rfl after they bought Odsal in Jan.
Leeds Utd one of the biggest clubs in England nearly went bust as have Rangers in Scotland. Both allowed to get relegated down several leagues, why??? Because there is a route back in P&R world were as franchise world there isn't.
If the franchise process was as transparent as the Rfl think wouldn't 3 years in the lower leagues help the bulls to contract, consolidate and ultimately rise again???
Load of !!

| It truly is beyond belief, RL in Britain is an absolute joke and people wonder why we get no coverage and cannot expand the game.
Try explaing this to someone new to the sport let alone a die hard fan and they would run a mile

| That tells me now that SL is a truly closed shop now. One of the main stumbling blocks also from the ABC bid was the names of the people backing the bid. The RFL wanted transparency (Don't laugh too much) and the group denied them that. Can't really blame the RFL for rejecting the bids. I totaly agree with the calls for the championships to walk away from the RFL now and safeguard the youth that it produces from being snapped up by them. One problem is how do we make the money up that we loose from a break?

| I do not know what everyone is complaining about. There is not a cat in hells chance that the RFL will allow SL to lose Bradford. There will always be a SL francise available in Leeds, Bradford, Hull, Wigan, St.Helens and Warrington no matter what.
If you don't believe that then it's time to wake up and smell the coffee. The RFL is only interested in the remaining championship clubs as SL feeder clubs. They have no future as viable Super League clubs in their eyes.
The game is all about the awarding of SL franchise's and the franchise era I am afraid to say is here to stay.
If the likes of Leigh, Halifax and Featherstone do not like it then tough, there will always be some one at Red Hall eargerly willing to tell them all to 'Fc:uk off back to Rugby Union !!'

If true then Rfl won't be around in 10 years, they'll be playing hybrid rugby those clubs above under the banner of Super Rugby on sky sports!
