Fair comment but lets say we pulled that offer would the people sat there be willing to fork out £200 for a season or £21/£24 per game, I think in alot of cases the answer would be no as most who go in that stand are families who get the kids in free so a couple can have 13 games for £200 and for a family day out that is very good value.



Whether they will still be around in 4 or 5 years when the children have grown up and are perhaps not so into going to the rugby and off doing other things is another matter but I think most people in there accept it is not a great view but enjoy it for what it is and if that leads to them going to away games or maybe moving to another stand in future seasons so be it if not alot seem to be in replica kits, buy flags etc etc so the club is getting in money that without that cheap section being in operation would be being spent somewhere else.

I agree with that but i was more aiming my comments at Brearley who is suggesting that anyone who wanted to go the games had the chance of paying this price and so should have done so if they wanted to watch us on the cheap, my point was that some people want to come and watch but want to be able to enjoy the experience rather than simply being able to say - "i only paid £8 a game".

I think the club could do more to fill that bottom tier though with various other offers - maybe for unemployed, there's loads of them around at the moment.

I see where you are coming from and in some ways the Season Ticket choice is great as there is basically something for everyone, how you transfer that to a match by match basis is difficult because of charging away fans same as home fans etc etc and I think if we were able to have a "cheap enclosure" within RFL rules we would have done so well before now but if we could do something that would be a positive move.

Now we're half way through the season why not have a few different packages for people who might be "walk up" supporters but are put off by the pay on day prices.





Half season ticket £100-£110

Family Half season ticket £180-£200

4 games ticket £50-£60



Some sort of offer needs rolling out soon for the rest of the season to try and get the lads on the pitch a bit of support and perhaps restore Kens faith a little bit. The home support has dropped but the amount of visiting supporters also looks way down on previous seasons probably due to the economic climate. The Monday night clash against Saints and possible "Sky" games later on in the season kicking off at stupid times is going to have a massive effect also on away support and depending what silly times Sky schedule us for home support could suffer too.

The holiday season starts soon and how many people are going to miss a couple of games because of this, are our crowds going to get even lower ?

At least an offer like this might attract a few new fans down and encourage them to come again next year and perhaps a few "stayaways" might be tempted back. The £21-£24 walk up price isn't too enticing unless you're a committed fan and in todays climate not many people/families can afford this.

I just hope the club haven't given up the ghost and they try a few different methods to entice some more people to attend the games.

Why not just reduce the walk-up to the £21?



Some folk may not be able to get down to pre-purchase tickets or not know what their plans are.



Either way, it's not gonna stop folk attending who would have pre-purchased and could entice a few more walk-ups.



I have to say, if I didn't have a ST, I wouldn't pay £24 for any game.

seems good enough for castleford, st helens, wigan, wakefield and salford fans who all seem to congregate behind the posts..



and they pay full price too not £99.



depends how much you want to watch the giants i suppose aswell as how much money your willing to pay to watch a top super league team



just seems to be an excuse for everything with some so called fans of the giants... its too much, oh its on sky, oh its not on sunday, its raining etc etc

to be fair brearley,wigan,saints,wakey and salford all traditionally stood side on it's only the last few years this has changed,probably with the advent of "away ends".

Plus the view from there is as good as some grounds.

It's not a matter of being behind the sticks, it's the fact that the view isn't great because its quite low down plus there is no cover from the elements - rain and wind generally blows that way and if the sun is out it is in your face. Now if they put the away fans in that end and had cheap deals for the south stand that may be more popular.

i often wonder if opening up the lower tier was a good idea? our crowds were low before they did this and now they are going back down i wonder if it would be better letting people onto the sides again? could also improve atmosphere but would look better than having 4500-5000 people scattered around 15,000 seats?
