| We've got great cover in Powell, Hampshire and Williams. Just hope this doesn't mean green has played his last game for us.

| Also just to add I think the sky commentary was disgraceful saying he was faking the injury to waste time. He was clearly in pain.

| Big loss if true, but it does open it up for Williams, Powell and Hampshire.

| Out of the available options, I think Powell is most likely to replace him at 6. He certainly deserves his chance there and I look forward to seeing how he plays.
I do think it removes an attacking threat from the halves though and that might cost us a bit. Powell is more like Smith in my opinion, he'll take the line on very rarely. He doesn't have the pace to slice through defences.
In terms of a like for like replacement I'd say Williams is the closest. He's an excellent runner, has pace, an eye for a gap, a good offload when tacklers get their hands on him and also a good passing game too. I think he plays better on the left hand side too.
Hampshire is an option, but he still seems a little small to be defending in the line and he could be exposed. I also think he plays his best rugby on the right hand side.
Of course we also have Sarginson who was a stand off as a junior and got good reviews playing stand off alongside Sam Powell for England Knights when they beat Samoa last year.
Matty Bowen has also covered in the halves a few times. We've got plenty options as it stands.

Don't be daft. That was only said because it appeared to be a completely innocuous situation. It's a shame for you because he scored a superb try and was pulling all the strings for you when he got injured. If his bicep has gone, at best he'll return for the play-offs.
Tremendous performance by Wigan last night, you really went for the jugular from the first minute and Leeds appeared to lose their concentration completely.

| 12 weeks would make him back for the Cup semi or HKR away with four games of the regular season left. Poor lad he played well v Hull & Leeds.
Waney's choice for 6 will be interesting.
If Hampshire is still injured then Powell is the obvious choice.
With Salford being a Thursday game his squad for the game is announced Tuesday. Not long for them to get things sorted. Same for Salford though!

| Real shame, Green was getting into some good form, especially with his running game. Hopefully this means some good game time for Powell, he looked really good preseason (particularly vs NZ). Williams is getting good game time at hooker and Bowen can rotate with Hampshire when the latter is fit again. A glimpse of life next year, but hopefully Green recovers asap.

| I'd be considering Sarginson at 6 this week if we don't get any of our back rowers back (thus necessitating McIlorum at LF and Powell/Williams at the hooker combo). He did a great job there for England Knights last year

This was my feeling too. Backline of Bowen, Burgess, Goulding, Gelling, Manfredi, Sarginson, Smith is actually pretty decent considering all the injuries!
But we also have options with Powell & Williams able to slot in at HB. So we should be okay.

| Sarginson doesn't play with his head up enough to be considered at 6 IMO. He's a threat running the ball but his instincts are weighted too heavily towards that part of his game to make a success of the stand off position at the moment. He did well at fullback at Hull but you get that bit more time chiming in to the line and more of a licence to run the ball.
On a side note Wane has said in today's WEP that Powell will get first go at 6 and it's up to him to make his mark.
