i enjoyed going to the game yesterday, made a change from the night matches. i think i preferred the day match too. what do the rest of you think?

Night matches for me every time

I enjoy Friday night games.



The atmosphere is usually better and it's satisfying and a good way to finish off a working week and then have then to whole weekend free.

It made a nice change I suppose but I prefer night games because 3pm kick offs take up the whole day.



We have another 3pm kick off when Cas visit on June 6th. There was an article about it in League Express yesterday in which the "Community Day" has become the "Wigan Festival of Rugby", a touch rugby event for kids.



Last year the tournament was a solo event at Wigan St Cuthberts but this year, due to increased interest, they have four venues, Cuths, Rose Bridge, Hindley and another venue TBC.



A thousand young players (boys and girls) will be taking part and all will be attending the Cas game (if they wish) for free and presumably parading the pitch like last year/



They hope to have 300 teams for next years event, including teams from abroad.



Nice to see the club being brought back to the community.

I prefer games on Friday night but yesterday was a nice change.

I think daytime games would be better in summer

Prefer night games myself although it was nice to see the Wakey game start with the sun shining (briefly) on the pitch.



I think we get better attendances on Friday nights in general though. Plus I know the wife often has 'family' things planned on Sunday afternoons which don't involve rugby and I am sure there are plenty of guys here in the same boat.

Friday night games for me every time. Playing in the day is great though every now and then, but I always feel the atmosphere and overall feel of the game is better at night.

No contest- Friday night wins hands down every time.



As someone else said it's an excellent way to start the weekend with a good game of RL and a few beers in the process as well.

Night for me too. It's nice for the occassional game but I think the atmosphere suffers too much. When the sun is shining everyone feels they should just be sitting back soaking in the rays rather than getting involved!

Yeah Friday night everytime.

Only matches with Saints in the afternoon can generate atmosphere.

Better atmosphere, chat and a drink afterwards then home with the whole weekend ahead.
