I know Gaskell got mom , but I thought Lomax was awesome today! He really showed Finch and Deacon up today, I would be tempted to play Sam in the halves next week, we lacked creativity today and teams seem to have worked out whe Sam is going to join the line from FB.

Sam to 6, we need people to attack the line. Deacon is finished as a top level pro, has been for half a season in my opinion. I've never been a fan of 6 and 7 being pivots, much prefer a runner and a distributor and can't for the life of me think why O'Loughlin has had some of the attacking responsibility taken off him, that's what made us champions last year by having a forward be the link to the backs, we should utilise him much better.

deacon finished as top level pro? 1 bad game and you lose faith? bet ya he'll still be in the team next week and if he has a blinder you be calling for 1 more year.

I've not based it on one game, look at the next part of my sentence instead of picking and choosing for your argument. He puts his body on the line and gets a hell of a lot of damage for it but that's not his job. If you ask most Wigan fans I'm pretty sure they'd give you the same opinion. He's had his moments this year but thats it, moments.

Of course I've mentioned it, can't make an opinion on 1 game, I've seen us play often enough this season. I'm a bigger fan tbh of having Sam at 6 we are too predictable, EVERY team knows its 2 passes and Sam around the back.

Just because they haven't said it before now doesn't mean they haven't thought it. They are just echoing what a lot of fans think about Deacs

Knowing it and stopping it are 2 different things. He was still easily your most dangerous player today. On topic Lomax was outstanding for me and deserved MOM ahead of Gaskell, he looks the part in the halves and I hope he doesnt get shunted to make room for Hohaia

Teams are stopping it in the back end of the season more than not. He was our most dangerous player because of his own ability rather than the team helping him out, I think we've come to rely too much on him. Lomax ran it today and was assisted by Gaskell. They contrast and complement each other well with their styles whereas with us Finch/Deacon do the same job.
