No I think he's saying that where there's a potential for non impartiality, conscious or unconscious, then a referee shouldn't be involved in certain games.

We didn't defend our try line well enough for me but defending for 15 minutes almost non stop will do that to you.



No deflection by Agar, Tim Robey was terrible and his view of the game favoured Sts in a big way.

The thing people are questioning though is how you gained that momentum....



Up to that spell I thought we outplayed you all over the park, then came the sequence....



Penalty - Try in next set - 3/4 good tackles - Penalty - Try in next set - 3/4 good tackles - Penalty - try in next set....etc.....they were soft penalties aswell....things he was ignoring when we had ball in hand and struggling to get out of our half....



If Saints had just upped their game and cut through us at will then fair enough....it's the fact that in that 10 minute spell or so we were starved of any possession and you were given 4 or 5 soft penalties for infringements that went unpunished the whole 1st half....and in the last 15 minutes....



I came out complaining of a poor refereeing performance....which is very, very unlike me.....and then to find out Ganson went in for a strong word at half time makes me queston why??

I hope Agar can back his comments up or he might find himself in deep water.

It has been confirmed by the match commissioner that Ganson went into the referee's dressing room at half time but wouldn't comment on what was said by Ganson.

Have you listened to the interview? Agar said that Wakey did not show enough determination & resilience when Saints had that sustained period of momentum but he did question what he called soft penalties in the second half & a refereeing performance that was different in the first half to the second. As regards Ganson entering the ref's dressing room at half time, it sounds like that the club does know that he did do that & that now will have to be investigated, but Agar said the dressing down discussion was a rumour but one that he said was on good authority. I think Agar is well within his rights to ask the question of the RFL as to why the ref's controller felt it necessary to enter the dressing room and then what was discussed?

Does this happen regular? Has it ever happened before? What did he go in for? Did Roby as to see Ganson?





Until we know the above it's a non issue.

Saints fan Ganson goes in to give the ref a rollocking when Saints are losing. Ref penalises Wakey much more. Saints win. Someone should say what was said.

If it was routine, would Agar have queried it? You know it's an issue. Imagine you're beating Warrington, Bentham goes in to give Child a rollicking, and thereafter Child penalises you to death. You'd say it was an issue.
