I did not think we played that bad today. Yes Rooney is on loan but I think he would have backed up today and probably scored 2 from our breakaways in the second half. One thing about Jamie he is a terrific support player but thats it. Blaymie steady a good full back very steady but hes no Greenshields and he would have been up supporting on those 2 breakaways. I just thought we lost on speed today nothing else we need a bit of speed injection into our team. In our team who could go the length of the pitch???? Brough at a push. Grix certainly can't and Petersen who did not play bad today he can't. Halley would have won us that game today as he would have been up with play sprinting is ass off he would have scored and no Shudds player would have been in 2 yards of him. We need some speed !!!!!

So now, after a defeat, Jamie Rooney, who has looked off the pace this year, is the answer to our problems? Unbelievable.

To be honest, I think that most people realise what is needed at the end of the season.



Can't knock the effort and heart, but generally speaking it takes more than heart to win games like that.

Far from it I am just saying I think he would have backed up the breaks we had and probably finished them off.

if only you would of collard ted in M&S you could of told him about the fatal error he had made.

Speed between the ears not foot lost us the game.



We played well but had a lot of last plays just die because we rushed it or not everybody understood what was going on.



We have speed already in Blanch he just happens to be injured. Grix as has been said many times isn't a winger but he played well today. Hodgson played well today and he made a great tackle on Grix to save a try. Fox would have found it tough too.



They were on our line 2-3 times in the second half and scored two from just muscling over. We made lots of chances but had to play more expansive to beat them and therefore play higher risk football, which doesn't work every time.



We can play better but we lost to the no.3 side and were in it till the end. That's ok by me for now.



If we just go out and buy a load of pace, a la Rooney, we reduce our defensive strength so it isn't as easy as just saying we lost because we are not fast enough.

Think we should swap Grix and Peterson as we seem to get the ball to Grix in attacking situations more often than Peterson.
