Just seen NRLs promo "this is our house" by Bon jovi on well known video tube site and struck by the comparison to the recent sky superleague adverts where fat bloke gets a waxing/doesn't blink. Cancelled sky sports and signed up with premier sports!

I don't particularly warm to Bon Jovi promoting a tough sport like RL, but the general feel of that promo was way better than the dire Sky effort; we need to be showcasing the big hits, silky skills and raw excitement of the game, not insulting supporters with a series of unflattering stereotypes.



I still think we missed a trick with the Stobart deal; how about a bloke ordering Sky Sports, then a Stobart truck pulling up outside his house, spilling a load of SL players onto his front lawn, who proceed to knock the tar out of each other, to a suitably heavy metal soundtrack?

So your not going to watch any SL games on TV, so you can watch the NRL instead, I mean I don't mind catching the odd game and I have premier myself but I wouldn't sacrifice one for the other, especially one I don't have any attachment to.



I do agree with your general point about the lack of promotion and general hype but then again you only have to look at the presenters and commentators involved and the studio they use compared to the football one to know what Sky's mindset is.

SL is crying out for a Footy Show style program, where you get fans down to the studio and get a few fresh faces in to present and a few of the more articulate and brighter of the ex players and bingo.

It sounds like you don't love ours an awful lot if you'll ditch it because you don't like the advert. It's like getting a divorce because you don't like your wife's new handbag.

How much £'s for premier sports?

SL doesn't even compare to the NRL. The standard in attack is more or less the same, but the defence in the NRL is outstanding.

At least two super league games a week, championship league games, internationals, varsity match, magazine programme, magic weekend, super league full time show, regular updates on sky news......agreed Sky need to get their act together!
